Hammerhead Shark

The Hammerhead shark gets its name from its unique head shape. For a long time, scientists believed that Hammerhead sharks used to stun their Prey with their heads, but more recently it has come to light that their head shape actually improves their vision. Like on the Schleich Hammerhead figurine, each of the shark's eyes is on the outside of the “hammer” shape. This gives them a 360-degree view. Its snout also senses electromagnetic signals emitted from its Prey, making it an even more efficient predator.
